Established in San Sebastian, Spain, in 1997, OPTENET was founded on the very specific mission of providing "filtered" Internet access services to residential users. Since the start, OPTENET's strongest asset has been its technology-- the Online Semantic Content Analyzer-- the most accurate and effective tool on the market. Based on artificial intelligence techniques, it analyzes content in real-time and in seven languages. Through experience the initially intended focus shifted and OPTENET evolved into a software company providing secure content management solutions to all types of users.

OPTENET Web/WAP Filter: Dynamic web content filtering based on semantic analysis, which only uses static URL lists as support. Includes an online unblocking system to provide optimal results. Can also include http antivirus and antispyware.
OPTENET Antispam: OPTENET Antispam is a modular management service that reaches levels of efficiency beyond 95% and a rate of false positives that is practically null. Uses dynamic semantic analysis for optimal results. Can also include SMTP/POP3 antivirus.
OPTENET Antiphishing: Provides complete protection of personal information such as passwords and credit card numbers and protects users from phishing attacks; fraudulent emails and webpages used to steal private information.
Ads-Free browsing: Blocks pop-ups, banners and other advertisement on the web for faster, more efficient web browsing. Perfect for residential users, governments and organizations.
Antivirus/Antispyware components: OPTENET integrate HTTP and SMTP/POP3 AV components developed by Kaspersky Labs to filter out viruses, spyware and malware passing through email and Internet traffic.
Firewall: Can be configured to block traffic per protocol or port. On top of classic firewall characteristics, OPTENET Firewall can detect and block common protocols without taking into account which port they use (webmail, webchat, messenger, etc.).
